Your Kangal is NOT trying to dominate you. He is not being naughty. He does not need you to punish him. And you do not need a Dog Trainer to work with you who will simply tell you what to do / what to say when your dog is doing something you don't like. Instead, we will teach your dog what you DO want them to do .....

So what DO you need? And what IS going on with your dog?

How do we train?

The first thing I need to do is to understand exactly what is going on. On the BOOKINGS page you will be asked to complete a Behaviour Form where you should give as much information as possible about the issues you are facing with your Kangal / Anatolian / Livestock Guardian Dog. This allows me to build a good picture of what might be going on. If I have further questions I will contact you.

I focus on teaching your dog what you DO want him to do in certain situations rather than what you DO NOT want him to do.  I will change your way of thinking and help you to understand your dog better. You will never be asked to punish your dog. I will never show you how to tell your dog off. I do not use any horrendous pieces of equipment such as prong collars, choke chains, slip leads, electric collars and you do not need to shout or "be the Pack Leader".

A woman with blonde curly hair, wearing sunglasses, a tie-dye t-shirt, and light-colored jeans, is playing with a large tan dog wearing a harness outdoors on a grassy field surrounded by trees.

Using kind & gentle, positive reinforcement training methods I teach you how to read your dogs body language and how to change his emotional response.

I don't train a Kangal any differently to how I train other dogs, I just understand them. I work WITH them. I listen to them.
